The holiday season is too short to spend it stuck behind the bar making drinks, unless you’re getting paid for it that is. If you’re entertaining over the holidays, plan ahead and serve drinks that both you and your guests will enjoy. “I always recommend that people make large batch and pre-batch stuff – I always do when I have parties,” award-winning bartender and author Jeffrey Morgenthaler says in an interview. “Things that you can bottle and serve, or pour into a pitcher and have people pour over ice; punch is always a great thing to serve. Anything that keeps you out from behind the bar, I think is a successful party drink.”
